Organisation

The „Manor Run to the Beat Basel" is organised and presented by the Laufsportverein Basel (LSVB) in cooperation with IMG (Schweiz) AG, Bürogebäude com.west, Förribuckstrasse 72, CH-8005 Zürich. The „Manor Run to the Beat Basel" takes place on September 12, 2010.

Event type

All runners who have attained the age of 18 on September 12, 2010 are allowed to participate in the "Manor Run to the Beat Basel" marathon. With the precondition of parental agreement, runners younger than 18 can participate in the half marathon or the team run. Only registered participants with an official starting number of the "Manor Run to the Beat Basel" are allowed to start at the races. The number must be placed visibly on the front side of the runner's shirt.

Data collection, Data saving and -utilisation

All registration information, especially personal data will be saved and only be used for procedure and handling of the event.

Payment information and data will rest with Datasport only. The presenter has no access to this data. The organization of Datasport (http://www.datasport.com/de/Rechtliches.htm) has an own data privacy agreement that can be found on the Datasport website.

Participants agree that photos, film material and interviews in radio, television, print media, books, photo mechanical copies taken or made in connection with their participation in the event can be published without claim of payment.

Additionally the participants agree to forwarding personal data for the purpose of sending photos of the participants on the route and when crossing the finish line. The photos will be produced by an organization assigned by the presenter. The participants do not declare to be willing to buy such a photo.

Participants agree that personal information will be sent to Datasport for the purpose of time keeping, generating and publishing result lists online.

Doping

The current doping charta of Swiss Olympic is relevant for the "Manor Run to the Beat Basel". Doping checkups can be preceded at any time. By participating all runners agree to the anti-doping regulations of Swiss Olympic and do also accept the exclusive jurisdiction of the disciplinary commission for doping incidents of Swiss Olympic as well as the Tribunal Arbitral du Sport in Lausanne to the exclusion of ordinary courts.

Food and beverage stands

Water, energy bars, gels and isotonic beverages will be provided in regular intervals. For organizational reason it is impossible to take your own nutrition to the food stands.

First Aid

First Aid stations are positioned in the finisher area as well as along the route. Participants must strictly attend the orders of the sanitary staff.

Liability

Runners participate in the „Manor Run to the Beat Basel" at their own risk and on their own authority.

Neither the presenter, nor sponsors, the city of Basel,  the communities and representers of Birsfelden and Münchenstein assume liability for any damage or injury that happen to participants in connection with the event. This includes injury, sickness, stolen clothing or other items.

There is no claim for refund in the case of cancellation caused by act of nature beyond control.

Categories

The event is based on the disposition of Swiss Athletics and the categories listed in the tender.

Medical Recommendation

The organization committee recommends preparing accurately for the run. By registering for the "Manor Run to the Beat Basel" you confirm to be in good shape, well trained and that you are following the medical recommendation. The organizers disclaims liability for any damage/injury causing from inaccurate fitness or excessive demand. The organizer particularly disclaims liability for health risks of any runners in connection with the race. It's up to the participants to check their health state prior to the runs.

There is no refund possible if a participant cannot start (even with a medical certificate).

Starter bag & number

Each participant receives a starter bag with number, documents and various gifts from sponsors.

Route service

Participants must strictly attend the orders of the route service staff. Runners are not allowed to be accompanied by people other than the service staff. Short cuts or other unfair means are strictly forbidden. Any participants violating these regulations will be disqualified from the race. There is a ban on driving on the entire route, for cars as well as for bicycles. The organisation can allow especially marked vehicles on the route, which are at service for media, emergency service, police or the organisation committee.

Limit of participants

The presenter is authorized to set a limit of participants. Registrations won't be accepted if the limit is reached prior to the event. Registrations are handled by receipt of payment.

Timekeeper

Datasport is the official Manor Run to the Beat Basel timekeeper. The time is measured by chip which will be attached to the number bib. Chips must be returned after crossing the finish line (chips not returned will be charged with CHF 60.-). Participants may not use their own chips.

Time limit

The time limit is set to 5 hours and 30 minutes (chip tracking) for the marathon and to 3 hours for the half marathon. For the Ekiden-Marathon the time limit is 5:00 hours. Runners who do not finish the race in the given time limit will not be classified and can be stopped on the route.
